"What if real balance was never about equal weight - but about honest alignment?"

This month reminded me that balance is not always about getting it right—sometimes it's about giving yourself permission to get it real.
June was that mirror. It held space for both my overwhelm and my peace. And as I sat with both, something deep within me began to shift.
I’ve always thought of balance as something to achieve. Something to chase. A line I had to walk straight. But lately, I’ve started to ask different questions:
🪞What if the scale itself is the illusion?
What if balance isn’t found in equal parts, but in honest parts?
This month slowed me down—intentionally. I had plans, deadlines, expectations… and then came the pauses. The delays. The divine detours. And instead of resisting them, I listened. I learned.
I realized that balance doesn’t mean everything happens at the same time or in the same way every day. Balance is not a routine. It’s a rhythm. A sacred dance between doing and being, giving and receiving, speaking and listening.

For me, balance this month looked like:
✨ Saying “not today” without guilt
✨ Allowing joy and grief to sit side by side
✨ Letting go of perfect routines and choosing rest
✨ Showing up when I could and retreating when I must
✨ Honouring my pace, not society’s expectations
Sometimes balance meant showing up as Gogo Noma. Other times it meant being just Noma—learning, crying, dreaming, healing, mothering, and remembering myself outside of what I do for others.
I also discovered that balance doesn’t look the same to everyone. And it doesn’t have to look the same to me every day. The moment I let go of the scale, I found space to breathe.
I close June with deep gratitude for the stillness it forced on me. For the uncomfortable pauses that became powerful teachers. For the delays that whispered: there’s no rush, just alignment.
And now, I’m preparing for July with a new intention:
I am unlearning.
Unlearning the obsession with productivity.
Unlearning the noise that tells me I must “have it all together.”
Unlearning fear. Unlearning shame. Unlearning what no longer aligns.
Because when I unlearn, I remember.
And that… is balance too.
Thank for walking this journey with me.
